05:06 pm: Any Mead Out There?
Anyone have a line on some mead? (I don't know if you can acquire such stuff locally) I need some for this weekend.

10:03 am: And then it dawned on me...
tomorrow very well could be the end of the world...it will have been three days since her death; Bea Arthur's ressurection is nigh!

10:14 am: I washed the Poet's Coat (Fondue's lovely-lovely gift of a great number of my writings printed on swatches of fabric and sewn into a robe) the other day, and as it was hang-drying, I had a moment of marvel reading some of the stuff that I had forgotten I had written. It was an interesting twist on how I experience nostalgia, normally it's not quite so tangible and tactile but there they were. Slightly strange and definitely emotional.

01:14 pm: Things. Stuff. Cameras
Reminder: 7pm tonight, the warehouse, let's chat about cameras.

In other news:
a. Shoulder: still tweaked. Glad I don't have to wear a bra, else that would really suck.
b. Car: waiting to hear
c. outlook: shiny

Congratulations to my recently-married friends, may your lives be fortunate and may your love only grow more potent as the years pass.

11:21 am: Rattatattatatta
After an amusing series of calls starting at 5:30 this morning, I finally left the station at 10:00 and got home roughly at 10:45.

They're jackhammering the School for the Blind's parking lot. Right across the street from my house. While my teeth aren't rattling as much as when they were widening 45th St last year, the pneumatic blasting has been constant since getting home.

Four hours of sleep, three hours of overtime, and I come home to...oh yeah. The life and times.

...I'm not /really/ annoyed, but I'm finding it amusing this morning.

10:23 pm: So in keeping with the holiday tradition of slicing into one's extremities, I sliced my ring finger on my ambulance tonight while cleaning it. Woot woot. =)

08:01 am: It's somewhat disturbing when there is a noticeable lack of the mousetrap you laid two days ago in your kitchen.

It's also somewhat of an amusing (and still disturbing legend) of some rat stalking the unseen byways of my house with a trap latched onto its body somewhere, plotting its vengeance.

But really now...where the hell is the trap? =)

10:11 am: I'm thinking of slipping to the dark side and buying an iphone.

It seems that Apple and Hotmail don't get along very well (imagine that). The easiest way to deal with this might be to just do a massive switch from hotmail to gmail email accounts.

Unless someone out there has a better idea, I'll letcha know when the switchover will take place. Damn, I hate not feeling in touch with technology. ;)

04:52 am: Crap.
And so at 4:30 this morning, I woke up from a disturbing dream, and felt the insides of my head swelling shut and the slow onslaught of mucus and ooze being squeezed from the delicate tissues up there.

I don't want to be sick.

01:13 am: Coolest Thing Today
http://www.playauditorium.com/

Seriously.
It's like a bubbling hotspring on a snowy peak...for your BRAIN.

Go. Waste time. Enjoy. Now I have to extract my cortex from somewhere in my chest, as it has oozed out of my skull.

06:08 pm: Donate! Give!
Allow me to encourage you all to consider donating to charity this holiday season. But before you drop your change into the bucket next to the bell-ringer, give me a few seconds of your time.

You may be asking: "But Ghost, in your finite wisdom, to what charity should I unload my hardwon greenbacks? The bell-ringer-guy is right there!"

To which I'd reply: "My friend, I'd encourage you to donate to Child's Play (childsplaycharity.org), a non-profit that uses your money to buy games and gaming systems for childrens' hospitals all across the world because sometimes sick kids need something other than visits from puppies and donations to research. And that, my friend, is an enterprise I'll happily support (and so should you)."

Of course, I boggle at why Dell Children's hasn't aligned themselves with the Force For Good, but I digress. And while you're at it, visit desertbus.org, perhaps the most ludicrous idea to raise money for Child's Play ever.

Happy thanksgiving, folks.
Hasta,
